Tier 3 Behavior Planning and Wraparound Supports [Part 2]
As promised, we came back with PART 2 of our walk-through of Tier 3 behavior planning!
This session focused on wraparound services and safety planning as critical components of a comprehensive behavior plan. We were joined by Sierra Shaw, Parent & Community Support Specialist from Waco ISD, who brought a wealth of real-world experience in collaborating to support students and families with significant levels of need. A downloadable, editable Tier 3 Behavior Support Plan template was also provided.

Meet the Presenters

Sierra Shaw
Parent & Community Support Specialist, Waco ISD
Sierra Shaw is the Parent & Community Support Specialist for Waco ISD. She has 20+ years experience working with youth in mental health and behavior support settings across Texas, with a particular focus on special education students with behavioral needs and youth transitioning from residential placements. Sierra is a Restorative Discipline facilitator and is skilled at helping identify underlying root causes and eliminate barriers so families can get the help their students need to be successful in school and in life.

Trudy Bender
Sr. Manager of Thought Leadership Content, Branching Minds
Trudy Bender is Senior Manager of Thought Leadership Content at Branching Minds and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist with experience as a teacher, school psychologist, and district administrator. As Waco ISD’s Coordinator of District Behavior Intervention, she reduced exclusionary discipline, implemented a Multi-Tiered System of Supports for Behavior, and developed multi-year teacher training in classroom management and behavior intervention.
