Recharging Core Instruction and MTSS

Our goal is for all students to have access and opportunity to participate in grade-level work that will prepare them to be successful during and after their years at school. And, with many students and educators returning to school after the most challenging year on record, meeting that goal will require our very best resources, efforts, and strategies. Many states have announced rigorous expectations for accelerating learning to capture much of the lost teaching and learning experienced over the last 18 months. The “how” of meeting those expectations is daunting.

Branching Minds is hosting a webinar that will focus on the opportunities ahead.  We will be unpacking the significance of “recharging” core instruction in an MTSS framework to match accelerated learning needs, especially following such a tumultuous year. We will focus on specific strategies for accelerating learning, reviewing key concepts, and stressing the importance of reframing discussions on “learning loss.” 

During this webinar, we will unpack how to:

• Apply what we have learned about intervention, as intentional, targeted instruction, in a more coordinated way through core instruction
• Use the tools and strategies we have held for MTSS as a means for equity in both recharging core instruction and providing intervention
• Gather all of our resources in the most efficient ways to meet the greatest needs
